Anglesey Childminder

My name is Sarah Harper. I provide a warm, caring and friendly environment where children can play, learn and develop. Parents can leave their children with me knowing that they will be safe, happy and loved. The children receive plenty of attention and lots of hugs and affection. They are able to play with other children of various ages with a range of toys and equipment both indoors and outside.

My role as a childminder I find very fulfilling and get great satisfaction in looking after and assisting in a childs’ growth and well being, both physically and mentally as well as emotionally. To help us get out and about I have a 9 seater vehicle.

I am married to John and have two children aged 14 and 10.

We have lived in Llangefni, Anglesey for the last 3 years since our move from Cheshire in 2007.

I enjoy running the local Beaver Scout group, entertaining and teaching various skills to up to 30 boys and girls aged between 5 ¾ and 8 years old. I also enjoy walking and creative past times, such as curtain making and painting.

I have looked after children for many years with overnight care, short term care and my own children too. However it is only recently that I decided to become a full time childminder.

I fully comply with the regulations for CSSIW, meeting the 24 standards.

I have completed various training over the years.

I am HND level educated.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
I have a food hygiene certificate.
I have completed an Introduction in Childcare Practice.
I have attended a Safeguarding Children and whistle blowing course.
I am fully registered with the Cssiw, hold insurance with NCMA (National Childminding Association). I am also a member of the NCMA.
I am fully insured to drive my nine seater car for the use of childminding.
I have CRB enhanced certificate as does my husband
